Cannabis Sensors Inc. ( www.cannabisensors.com ) is a Bioengineering Federally registered start-up company, comprising a team of engineers and scientists engaged in research and development towards manufacturing of the next generation of scientific devices to detect delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) Through Air, Liquide and other mediums.

 

At present time we invite those with PhD’s in Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or Bioengineering to join our team to further advance the research, development and manufacturing of the next generation of this novel technology.

 

At Cannabis Sensors Inc. we are using a combination of biophysical modelling (molecular simulations, knowledge-based methods) and new statistical algorithms (quantum computing algorithms, machine learning) to accelerate detecting delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) in various mediums so if this is your area of expertise, then we strongly urge you to apply for this position.

 

Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • PhD in Bioengineering or engineering Chemistry Design, Bioinformatics or related field
  • Experience working in a team of Inventors, Engineers and Scientist to develop and invent novel ways of detecting Proteins and Chemicals through machines and devices.
  • Peer-reviewed publications on protein-protein interactions, protein engineering, design, and/or structure and function
  • Confidence in molecular modelling and visualization software (Rosetta, Maestro, MOE, PyMol, Chimera, VMD)
  • Experience with molecular simulation software (OpenMM, GROMACS, AMBER, NAMD, etc.) and enhanced-sampling methods (REMD, Metadynamics, GaMD, etc.)
  • Experience working with data from biophysical experiments (NMR, EPR, FRET, X-ray crystallography, etc.) or measuring protein-protein interactions (display technologies)
  • Familiarity with structural data formats (PDB, trajectory) and analysis using Python libraries
  • Perform research of protein design protocols and prepare reports and presentations to guide software and algorithm development
  • Work side-by-side with engineers, chemists, biologists, computer scientists, and software developers to develop novel methods for protein and chemical detections.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable explaining technical concepts to a diverse audience

Education, Experience & Additional Requirements

 

  • Excellent command of Mandarin for communication ( Read, Write and Speak)
  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Electrical, Electronics
  • High level leadership role in a manufacturing or R&D environment is required
  • Experience in a Sales, Marketing or an R&D in a High-Tech Electronics Manufacturing, Service organization or Aerospace is strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in a low volume, high mix manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in a project based environment.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.
  • Experienced with establishing credibility with customers by meeting commitments.
  • Experienced with contract terms and understands the risks

Cannabis Sensor Inc. As a team member, the Circuit Design Engineer with a minimum 10 years direct experience, is responsible for board level circuit design for various embedded systems. This includes writing design/test documents, identifying requirements, selecting and sourcing components, schematic entry, PCB layout, performing simulations, board bring-up, debugging and validation.

Essential Qualifications:

• University degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience working on analog and mixed-signal circuits
• Schematic entry and PCB layout
• Use of lab test equipment (bus analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc)
• Expertise in component research and sourcing.

Requirements:

Solid FPGA based digital board design experience, strong VHDL programming knowledge and scripting languages.

• Multiple hardware design experience including simulation, routing, integration and testing.
• Fluent in simulation tools such as ModelSim or NC Sim, synthesis tools such as Synopsys or Synplify, and back-end tools such as Xilinx ISE.
• Thorough knowledge of embedded processor cores such as Microblaze, Nios or ARM required.
• Knowledge of radar techniques and Radar Signal Processor architecture is a plus.

  Circuit Design Engineer
